You can open current accounts for more than one person (joint accounts) by telephone and in person. Simply make an appointment for this.
1 When you open a current account for your child, you conclude a corresponding agreement. You will receive the contract documents and account statements for your child conveniently in your electronic mailbox and can also view the transactions there. If you already have online banking access, Mein Lübecker Start will be added to your existing online banking. If you have joint custody, you are initially jointly authorized to represent your children. If you subsequently authorize each other via the “parental power of attorney”, you can also dispose of your child's credit balance online.
2 Variable interest rate for amounts up to 500 Euros, as at October 2024. This interest is paid up to the account holder's 11th birthday. From the account holder's 11th birthday, the interest on credit balances ends.
3 Your child may have sole access to the account and may have sole power of disposal until the age of majority. Your child will receive a Sparkassen-Card with a credit balance in their own name. This means that they alone can make withdrawals at ATMs, at the cash desk, transfers and standing orders as well as payments by direct debit.
